Who We Are & Our Mission
We are traders who leverage primarily option selling strategies to work towards our goal of consistently outperforming the market. While option selling is our primary strategy, we have a data-driven approach which is applicable to all types of traders.
With that, it's important to emphasize that our goal here isn't to 10x a portfolio in a year. The big risks necessary to achieve those unrealistic returns are risks that more often send an account towards 0. Instead, we understand that a patient approach which generates consistent, compounding gains is the best way to move forward and accumulate/grow your wealth. If you are the type of trader who believes there are no shortcuts in the market, then this is the place for you.
Further, one thing we pride ourselves on is that this is not a strategy where you need to be glued to the screen, constantly nailing entries and exits in order to succeed. It's designed to minimize time in front of the screen trading so that you are free to get up and do other things (whether it's focusing on your job, classes, or just going outside and enjoying the day).
What We Offer
The most important thing we believe here is that any well-intentioned investors who are looking to learn how to sell options should be able to do so for free. Because of that, all educational content and videos are, and will always be, free. Our chatroom additionally features some channels which are free to use where you are encouraged to ask as many questions as you'd like. We have a supportive community who understands that there is no such thing as a stupid question, and even the most experienced and successful traders once started with no knowledge at all.
We do, however, have some premium offerings to help take your trading to the next level once you have the basics down. We offer three premium packages:
1. Discord Access
This grants access to our premium discord chatroom. You gain access to a community of like-minded traders where we all aim to win together. The discord chatroom also contains our live trade alerts, weekly gameplans, 24/7 market discussion, and more! The Discord Access membership tier grants access to all premium research articles as well.
2. Trading Tools
To help support our data-driven approach, we have developed several proprietary trading tools to help take your experience to the next level. They are as follows:
High RoR Put Scanner
This is a tool which fetches the highest premium stocks in the market each week. Just because a stock has high premium and is listed here does not necessarily mean that it is a good investment idea. This is simply a starting point for your research. For example, if a company has insanely high option premium because it's facing bankruptcy... that likely isn't one that we would like to pursue. But if there is a stock you are familiar with and like the value of which you spot on the scanner, it typically means there is a decent option selling opportunity available for you.
Note: While this scanner just returns put options, it's important to note that stocks with high put premiums will also have high call premiums, which therefore makes this scanner applicable to puts and calls.
Unusual Put Sale Scanner
One of our favorites, this scanner helps you follow the money as it flags large, unusual opening put sales. Using this to align ourselves with big money has typically brought some great results.
Frequently asked questions about the unusual put scanner:
What does at/below bid mean?: At/below bid means that the trade was executed either at the bid (as part of the bid/ask) or below it. This means it was a very aggressive put sale (someone wanted the position so badly that they took a price at or lower than the bid to execute it). Typically pretty bullish.
How does it identify a roll/spread?: For roll/spread identification, we look at all trades executed for that stock at a similar time/size to determine if the trade identified is one leg, or if there are other legs involved. Implication being that if there are two legs, it is part of a spread so we don't want to view it as an opening put sale (the trader was likely going for something else since it's a spread). One thing we want to keep in mind here is that if someone is rolling a position, like we typically do, it's technically a two-leg trade! So we want to differentiate between two-leg trades that are spreads (which we don't care about) vs. a two-leg trade that is someone rolling an existing CSP position. Our tool analyzes relevant trading data to make this determination and let you know what is a roll vs. what is a spread.
In short: If the "below bid/ask" section is checked, it's very bullish. If the "spread" column is checked and nothing else, it should not be viewed as an opening put sale.
Oversold/Overbought Stocks
Calculates RSI of stocks that offer solid option premiums so users can find oversold and overbought opportunities. Idea being that oversold stocks may be played to bounce, and overbought stocks may be played to dip and cool off.
IV Gainer Alerts
Identifies stocks that have had quick, potentially temporary spikes in implied volatility. This creates what is hopefully a temporary spike in implied volatility that we can sell and take advantage of. This is another strategy that has had a very high success rate.
Note: Volatility data in the market can be spotty and not all of the results listed here necessarily fit the criteria of what we're looking for. For further info on this strategy, refer to the IV reversion video on our YouTube channel.
Watchlist
Features a live watchlist of stocks we have our eye on for various reasons. Shows daily, weekly, and monthly performance so you can get a quick idea of how a certain ticker is trending.
Live Portfolio
Shows HT's live portfolio and holdings. While these tools can provide a bunch of great data, there are no trades we're more confident in than the ones where we put our own money on the line. Good way to track what we've entered and what is still open instead of trying to piece it together from our Trade Alerts in the discord server.
